with the gunman. christian captain joins us with the details and how the morning commute is being affected so far. good morning christian. >> reporter: first off, we got an update from police who said again because of the proximity of where this is all happening, leading on to treasure island because it is such a narrow area they are not allowing people on or off the island and they are requesting no helicopters be flown over because it could affect the negotiations with this suspect who is at that access road leading tonight treasure island. and that access on and off treasure island is completely shut down in both directions. we have video of the suspect out of his vehicle sitting on a railing and san francisco police were all around him and they informed us this started as a police pursuit at 11:00 last night. police said during that pursuit, the suspect fired at least one shot at officers and they chased him and he began holding a gun to his own head threatening suicide. the suspect is believed to be duncan phillips and he is wanted for assault and for stealing a car in venetia. residents of

for his arrest. >>> agree operation sparked a fire early this morning. claudine wong joins us now from the scene with what she has learned from police this morning, claudine? >> police tell us it was a legal grow and they were growing a small amount inside their home. this is about where the house is and firefighters left the scene and left within a few minutes. it was fairly business out here for a few hours and they put the fire out and got the call when the person inside the home saw smoke and crackelling coming from a loft area. they say there was some debris which made it hard to get to the fire at first but they were able to put it out 30 minutes from the time they first got the call. they spoke to the homeowner and resident who lived there, they said they had a medical marijuana license and they checked and did confirm the validity. >>> they had an at -- they had an alternative area they can live and they will be able to secure the electric into the facility. at this point we are making sure all the is are dotted and the. thes are -- it is are crossed. now the last firefighter l

. here is sal. >>> steve mentioned the winds may be an issue on the bridges and causeway so use care. also this morning we are looking at the commute on 101 that traffic looks good approaching the split, it is 5:00 let's go to the desk. >>> they are dealing with two water-main breaks. we have alex savage there right now, what is going on right now, alex? >> reporter: people in pittsburgh will be waking up without running water and we will show you why, right here. this is that broken water-main and you can see crews are working on it to try and get access and obviously do the repair work necessary to get the water back on. this is the crews in the city of pittsburgh and they are working between york and cutter. this water-main break is running and at this point, both of the streets in this area are dry. we will show what you this looked like when we first got here as crews were pulling water out of the street. the call was about 8:00 this morning and it sent water rushing down the street. we talked with a man who lives a couple of blocks away and he said at the height of this break
